And let's not forget that anyone who dares to have the audacity to visit/join another church makes themselves part of the most reprehensible part of Babylon the Great, otherwise known as the great whore of Babylon.
And if that isn't enough to deter you, we'll make sure your family never speaks to you again.

I never had a problem with attending a homecoming game when I was in high school. Never. Best Regards---Titch.
No JW child would be allowed to go to a homecoming game especialy if both parents were active JW's where I grew up in Houston Texas.
The catch-all rule was, "bad association spoils useful habits".

Of course JWs can date Christians. They are the ones in the congregation.
Rattigan,
JW's are NOT Christians. Mt. 26: 27-28 specifically states that the New Covenant (Jesus' Blood Covenant) is "for the forgiveness of sisn". This is why people are Christian, it is what being a Christian means - getting rid your sin debt through Jesus. But, virtually all of JW's reject this and certainly all preach a different message than the apostles.
The ministry of reconciliation through the blood covenant is what the Apostles preached. The two tier salvation that the WT offers was totally unknown to the Apostles.Galatians 1: 8-9 says that if anyone preaches a different gospel than what the apostles preach are CURSED.
If JW's are Christian, then... the term becomes meaningless.
There is no such thing as new light .... when the apostles died, doctrine was fixed until the Lord's return. It cannot be changed without beig cursed by God.JW's are definitely cursed by God. Bad, bad fruit.

Thank you LHG,
The world in general is largely unaware what it is like growing up JW. It is an insane mad-house of a religion. They are banned in at least 41 countries, so not everyone has forgotten about us.
Thanks to EVERYONE for continuing to get the word out! -

Living your life according to the bible
by TTWSYF ini have heard it said [numerous times] that jws live their life according to the bible.. i have also heard [numerous times] that jws have restored the correct christian practice following the great apostasy [?which is a different topic].
my question is 'is there any proof anywhere in history where jewish or christian people lived their life according to the scriptures?".

'Is there any proof anywhere in history where Jewish or Christian people lived their life according to the Scriptures?"
Although some people are better than others, the correct answer is no. "There is no one righteous, no not one". "All our righteousnesses are like filthy rags". Even the Jews, with all there cool ancestors, miracles seen by God, meaningful holidays and law code couldn't do it.
"Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One, of whom you now have become the betrayers and murderers, who have received the law by the direction of angels and have not kept it"- Acts 7
This is why Jesus three times told Nocodemus that he must be born again. Jesus was sent to seek and destroy the sin nature inside of man, and not the sinner.
"I have come not to condemn the world, but to save it". - JesusJesus changed the focus of salvation from works to belief. So, while I cannot always be obedient, I can always believe. That is something I CAN manage. God says I am his son, under his care, and heir to all that he owns for that simple act of my will.
So, in a New Testament context, yes millions of people live a life of belief.... according to the NT scriptures.
Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. - Romans 4: 4-5 -

JTG,
Sounds like your whole family got out... very rare. Good for you though!!
I was castigated at school for not saluting the flag every Monday morning.
Then was made to stand in the corner of every class until i peed myself as I was not allowed out of the classroom.
Yea, the WT loved the abuse we received for being so anti-social and difficult to be around. My mother was spit on and called Nazi during WWII years. I was screamed at every morning during the flag salute in the 4th grade and told to go stand in the hall. All the while, the mostly childless task masters in Brooklyn raked in the publicity and congratulated themselves on their court victories for "freedom".
